A Sweet Quote
Rhett Butler, (while leaving Scarlett for ever, "Scarlett, I was never one to patiently pick up broken fragments and glue them together and tell myself that the mended whole was as good as the new. What is broken is broken--and I'd rather remember it as it was at its best than mend it and see the broken place as long as I lived..."
Every thing about this novel was beautiful, even the way Rhett leaves Scarlett. No other author could have described this is better words. Mitchell was damn good at using the precise words at the precise time!
Would love to write such a novel some day that is still considered one of the best romantic novels ever written.

Considering the Way the World is, One Happy Day is Almost a Miracle!
Paulo Coelho is one of the authors who has the power to fascinate me with all his writings. I find something so charming in his words that even if at times, if I do not understand something, it feels good. I become so engrossed in his words that some times I even forget my own real world. For instance, see this statement – considering the way the world is, one happy day is almost a miracle. Wow! This was the first word that I uttered after reading this statement. It is from one of his hot selling books “Eleven Minutes”. Although I have not read the book but this single statement makes me crave for it. I will read it some day.
How true it is – one happy day is a miracle! Isn't it? But the tragedy is that we do not realize the miracle. Being typical human beings, we wish every day to be happy, which is next to impossible. The world works on antonyms. There has to be a balance between the positive and the negative. For happiness to exist, there has to be sadness. For richness to exist, poverty has to continue. Because this is the cycle of life; the way our world works. But who cares? All I want is happiness for me. Do I ever ask anything for somebody else? All I ask from God at the altar is something for me or something for whom I love. In the similar fashion, every single soul on the earth does so, except a few who are generous enough to think about the world beyond their four walls. Now, if every body is asking for happiness for himself and his loved ones then God is in real trouble. He cannot make everybody happy - remember He has to maintain the balance! So, what next! We have troubles, problems and things that make us sad. But in between we lose the charm of that one day on which we were happy. Isn't it like disrespecting happiness?
If we are so damn crazy for happiness then even a single moment of it should stir us! Is this the case? No! The moment we get happiness, we start praying to God to make it last for ever! How many times we have to be reminded of the fact that “change is the only inevitable thing?” What makes us so selfish and forgetful that we cannot learn this simple fact of life that nothing is going to last for ever. If we ourselves are going to die then how can we expect anything else – which is smaller than humankind – to last for ever! This is what makes us lose that one happy day too. Because we, still, have not learned the art to live in present. All that matters to us is our future – that we spoil with our present, and our past – that is not in our hands anymore. We carelessly spoil the present day that we have in hand and continuously keep spoiling our future with it.
Life would change its meaning and its colors when we will learn to say Thanks to God for every single thing he created; the day we start appreciating the beauty we see every second on earth; the day we will learn that “considering the way the world is, one happy day is almost a miracle!”

Allow the World to Live as it Chooses, and Allow Yourself to Live as You Choose!
“Illusions” by Richard Bach is one of the best books I have ever read. It has something in it that makes me believe each one of its words. Every sentence seems to carry its own aura that makes it plausible to feel lost in it. Every single thing that Bach says in this book seems to be so practical and at times, it feels as if I already knew this and yet was not following it. For instance, this – allow the world to live as it chooses. How many times, I have made myself understand that I cannot change anybody but myself. I cannot make the world what I want to see, I cannot ask people to behave in the way I want them to. Changing someone is not just impossible but an incorrect perception too. Why is it that we want to change others? Because changing our own selves sounds more difficult. Asking for others to change is a more convenient and easier option and when they do not change, we can easily blame them. This is why we do not let the world to live as it chooses, which consequently leads to the fact that we do not allow ourselves to live as we choose.
To get freedom, one has to give it too. If you do not let others free of your perception, even others won't. Unless you are untouched by what others do, others will interfere in what you do. The only way to free yourself from the chains of society is to free others of your chains. If you are expecting others to follow your shoes, they will be expecting the same. However, if you do not expect anybody to behave in a rigid manner then you are free to do whatever you choose. It is a give and take relationship. To get a smile, you have to give one. Similarly to get freedom, you will have to provide the same. This is the only way how you can allow the world to live as it chooses and allow yourself to live as you choose.
Keep in mind that the world is full of different people and no two are same. What kind of world it would have been if everybody would have been your copy? Would you ever love your friend if you could find nothing in him but your own reflection? It is the different personalities that attract us throughout our lives. It is the way the world is. God would have been very happy to make duplicate copies of one person but He is damn intelligent to have made such a trivial mistake. This is why He took all the pains to create different individuals with different personalities. The world is like a fruit market – you cannot love one fruit forever in your life. To add spice to your life, you need to taste the different fruits and enjoy to the fullest. Similarly, you will meet thousands of people in your life time – try and analyze each one of them and see if there is one single person who does not have a single thing to offer!

Nothing is for ever, My Love!

Sometimes I wonder
if I am real or fake
